Dr. Mirela Memic is committed to making every patient feel heard, cared for, and confident in their treatment. With a calm and reassuring approach, along with years of surgical expertise, she empowers her patients to move forward with clarity.
Born and raised in the former Yugoslavia, Dr. Memic immigrated to the United States as a refugee of war. Her journey shaped her deep empathy and unwavering commitment to service, which she carried into 12 years of military service in the U.S. Armed Forces. That experience continues to influence the way she cares for patients today—with precision, compassion, and purpose.
Dr. Memic earned both her undergraduate degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Colorado. She completed her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, gaining a strong foundation in both hospital-based and outpatient surgical care.
She enjoys the hands-on nature of oral surgery and the ability to make meaningful, often immediate, improvements in her patients’ lives. Whether treating dental pain or managing complex surgical cases, Dr. Memic focuses on her patient’s comfort, safety, and long-term results.
Dr. Memic provides a wide range of surgical services, including dental extractions, bone grafting, dental implant placement, biopsies, deep sedation, fistula closures, and removal of hyperplastic tissue. Her clinical expertise spans prosthodontic adjunctive surgery such as tori removal, alveoloplasty, sinus augmentation, bone grafting with intraoral harvests or non-autogenous sources, and the use of membranes for guided bone regeneration. She also manages disease control through third molar extractions and infection treatment, offers pathology services including biopsies with primary defect repair, and treats TMJ disorders with Botox, diagnostics, medical management, and arthrocentesis.
In the field of dental implants, she places single and multiple implants, including All-on-4 and All-on-X solutions, with or without bone and soft tissue grafting. Her orthodontic-adjunctive procedures include exposure and bonding of impacted teeth, surgical tooth repositioning, Wilcodontics, and orthognathic surgery. She is also skilled in diagnosing and managing maxillofacial trauma and enhances facial esthetics through cosmetic injectables. Dr. Memic values open communication and encourages her patients to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Since relocating to Atlanta in 2020, Dr. Memic has worked across the greater Georgia region—from Blue Ridge to Savannah—bringing skilled, patient-centered care to every community she serves.
Outside of work, she enjoys life with her husband, Jose, their son Xerxes, and their two little dogs. Whether at home or in practice, Dr. Memic is grounded by her passion for helping others.
